Information You Provide to Us
We may collect information that you provide directly to us, including:
- Account Information: When you register for an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication information. We do not store your plain-text password.
- Profile Information: You may choose to provide additional information for your profile such as a profile picture.
- User Content: Information you provide when creating reminders, including reminder text, descriptions, and any other content you choose to add.
- Authentication Information: If you sign in using Google, Apple, or another supported provider, we receive information needed to create and manage your Pindo account, such as your email address and provider account identifier.
- Payment and Subscription Information: If you start a trial or purchase a subscription, we receive information about your subscription status, product, renewal, cancellation, billing issue, or expiration from our payment providers. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
- Communication: If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, the content of your message, and any other information you may choose to provide.
Information We Collect Automatically
When you use our App or Site, we automatically collect certain information, including:
- Device Information: We collect information about your mobile device, including the device model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
- Location Information: With your permission, Pindo may collect precise location information from your device, including in the background, to trigger location-based reminders when you enter or leave saved places, even when the App is closed or not actively in use. We do not use Pindo to publicly share your live precise location with other users.
- Usage Information: We collect information about your use of the App, such as the time and duration of your use, app features you use, and how you interact with reminders.
- Log and Diagnostic Information: We collect log information when you use our App or Site, including browser type, access times, pages viewed, IP address, crash reports, and diagnostic events that help us maintain and improve the Services.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for various purposes, including to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services
- Deliver location-based reminder functionality
- Process subscriptions, trials, renewals, cancellations, billing issues, and other purchase-related events
- Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages
- Respond to your comments, questions, and requests
- Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our App
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities

Data Retention
We retain account information and user-created content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data in the App, by visiting https://pindo.app/delete-account, or by contacting privacy@pindo.app from the email address linked to your Pindo account. When your account is deleted, we delete or anonymize eligible account data, profile data, tasks, reminders, friend and group data, and related app data within a reasonable period, unless retention is required or permitted by law, security, fraud prevention, payment, tax, accounting, backup, or legitimate business purposes.
Data Security
We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
Your Privacy Choices
You have several choices regarding your personal information:
- Account Information: You may update or correct your account information at any time by logging into your account
- Location Information: You can stop location collection by disabling location permissions for Pindo in your iOS or Android device settings, turning off location-based reminders where available, or uninstalling the App.
- Push Notifications: You can opt out of receiving push notifications through your device settings
- Marketing Communications: You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in these emails
- Account Deletion: You can request deletion of your Pindo account and associated data in the App, by visiting our Delete Account page, or by emailing privacy@pindo.app from the email address linked to your Pindo account.
Children's Privacy
Our App and Site are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.
International Users
Our App and Site are based in the United States. If you are using our services from outside the United States, please be aware that information we collect will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the App or Site, you acknowledge this transfer.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
